What We Are Learning
Our core value for the month of January is Principled.
This is a continuation from December. We can teach children to be principled by modeling integrity, setting clear expectations, encouraging empathy, and guiding them to reflect on their choices. The goal is to help children internalize values, so they act with honesty and responsibility even when no one is watching.
Our SEL Focus this month is Goal Setting.
We want our students to learn that goal setting matters. Setting goals helps our students build confidence, focus, and resilience. Encourage your child to choose small, achievable steps—like finishing a book chapter or practicing a skill for 10 minutes a day. Celebrating progress, not just outcomes, teaches them that growth comes from effort and persistence.
